Today I finished a painting that was commissioned as a gift by a son for his mother.
Jäger, my subject matter has a beautiful face, so made my job very enjoyable!
It was requested that Jäger was painted in a tweed jacket, with a pink tie and a brooch.
I wanted to share with you two comparison pictures of before and after the highlights are added to a painting. It shoes how important the final touches are to a painting. Adding white highlights to a portrait painting are key to bringing it to life. This is clearly demonstrated in the comparison pictures below.
I thoroughly enjoyed painting Jäger and was very happy with the final artwork. This weekend the painting will be on its way to its forever home.
