Please see below a description on how and when I collect data, how data is used and shared when purchasing an item from me, contacting me, or using my artistic services via my website.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that I do not own or control, including ‘Wordpress’, ‘Mailchimp’ and any other third parties used for my artistic business, ‘Victoria Petchey Art’.
Orders:
As part of the buying and selling process, when you purchase an item from my website, personal data such as your name, telephone number, address and email is given. This enables me to send your item and provides a contact to update you on the status of your order.
How is consent defined?
When an individual places an order with me, they provide their personal information; name, telephone number, address and email, in order to receive their item. This constitutes as an agreement for me to process and use this data for the purpose intended.
Payments:
Financial transactions made online relating to orders are handled by the payment service provider, PayPal (PayPal – Privacy Policy). I do not have access to bank details or credit card details. The same applies to the card reader I use provided by ‘SumUp’ which I use in person (SumUp – Privacy Policy).
Retaining and deletion of personal data:
Personal data that I process for any purpose shall not be kept for longer than is necessary for that purpose. You can request for this data to be deleted at any time by contacting me at victoriapetcheyart@gmail.com
Amendments:
I (Victoria Petchey), reserve the right to modify this privacy policy at any time, so please review it frequently. Changes and clarifications will take effect immediately upon their posting on the website.
Your rights:
If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. I describe these rights below:
- Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information below.
- Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. Absent exceptional circumstances (like where I am required to store data for legal reasons) I will generally delete your personal information upon request.

You can object to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
- Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.
